Karate For Christ^® strengthens the body of Christ by discipling students in an innovative and exciting environment. All of our martial arts systems provide sound Biblical foundations for living a peaceful, non-aggressive life. Students train under internationally certified Black Belt instructors who motivate students to grow in their relationship with the Lord as well as in their physical skill. For centuries the martial arts have provided a framework upon which individuals develop strong bodies, alert minds, and spiritual discipline. This ministry incorporates these principles while consistently upholding the moral and ethical standards contained within the Scriptures. Our leadership development training specifically equips participants with confidence and skills to become Kingdom builders and world changers.

Karate For Christ^® has a markedly unique martial arts program. In keeping with our Christian worldview curriculum, even our understanding of the historical foundations of the martial arts is based on scholarship and research. Unlike nearly every other martial arts program in the world, Karate For Christ^® does not trace the creation of the martial arts to the Orient. Instead, we teach that the martial arts originated in Old Testament Biblical times, as noted early in recorded history in Genesis 14:14.

The martial arts faded from prominence during the first millennium after Christ, while vestiges remained in Europe, the Middle East, and the Orient. The arts, as we currently know them, trace their roots to the Orient. However, a proper understanding of the code of conduct embodied in the martial virtues (in Japanese, called Bushido) is directly traceable to Biblical principles found in Old Testament Israel.

In all Karate For Christ^® programs, students learn true martial arts as they were originally intended. They not only learn self-defense and mental discipline, but also grow spiritually during their training. Students will not encounter any Eastern mysticism, violent tendencies, or self-glorification (elements common to many secular martial arts schools) in this system. Instead, we disciple them in ways to grow in their relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Karate For Christ^® also offers unique training opportunities to learn the mental side of the martial arts. As a part of their training, students learn the root causes behind conflict (i.e. greed, selfishness, sin, etc.) and how to avoid or de-escalate a difficult situation using their minds instead of their fists.
